Notice is hereby given that Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority will receive bids for interior modernization which includes but not is limited to Demolition, General Construction, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical, for 36 apartments plus common areas (3 floors) located at Glanville Tower, 730 Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas.

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009.  Bids shall be addressed to the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority at 1124 N. 9th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101 and clearly labeled with the words:

PHASE ONE
“BID DOCUMENTS”
NAME OF BIDDER
DATE AND TIME OF OPENING

Proposals will be opened and read publicly at that time.  All bids shall be made in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS section of the Project Manual.  No bids will be received after the time and date stated above.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

 A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority office on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 10:00 A.M.

PREVAILING WAGE

The Prevailing Wage shall be paid by contractors and subcontractors on this project, as scheduled in the Project Manual.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

Contract Documents may be obtained by telephoning LaTona Architects, (816) 471-0044.

A deposit of $100.00, payable to the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority, is required and is fully refundable upon return of the plans and specifications in good condition, and within 12 days of the bid opening.
