Who's new
Just who did we bailout?
I just received an email and of course, I thought it was aj oke because in no way was it possible that our government would provide such a wasteful program, but guess what they do.
Income eligible participants may receive a free cell phone and free minutes. Yes, that's right- FREE.www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPublic/home.aspx Now, I have long been aware of the Lifeline program that the government offers reduced rate home phone service, but now cell phones?
Cell phones, in my opinion, are a privelage. One can argue that having a home phone is a privelage as well, but in case of emergency, I was okay with the low income receive the phone benefit.
Depending on where the customer lives, determines the number of free minutes and is not available in all 50 states, but seriously, where does it end?
I have worked hard for my money to have a cell phone, but it's not a priority over food, clothing and shelter. Why the heck is the government providing free cell phones and services through the Lifeline program? Where can I get a free lunch, because maybe I want to to stay home and see what the government can do to help me keep everything I want (privelages) and also feed me, without me lifting a finger. Is that the American dream? Handouts?
